Quilters Show and Tell is a place for quilters to showcase their work online, a place to come to be inspired by beautiful quilts and a place to make contact with quilters from around the world.
Quilting industry professionals will find this site to be a useful place to showcase your work; be it a class project for a shop, a show stopping quilting job from a professional machine quilter, the latest block of the month from a designer or new quilt for sale from a quilt artist. You may include your contact details in your post so customers will know where to find you. Also, your quilts will be categorised under your preferred name so fans of your work can easily view all your quilts that have been posted.
But this site isn’t just for professionals – it is for everyone who loves quilts as much as I do. There are no quilt police, just people who want to see quilts, quilts and more quilts.
I came up with the idea because I am an avid blog reader who loves to see all the quilty show and tell on the net. I have a blog of my own but I wanted a blog that would deliver quilty eye candy every day (that's the aim anyway) and, try as I might, I can't finish a quilt of my own every single day.
I am hoping that this site will showcase quilts from all walks of quilting life - hand pieced, machine pieced, art quilts, traditional quilts, modern quilts, mixed techniques, hand quilters, machine quilters, hobby patchworkers, designers, shops, beginners to show winners and whoever else I can talk into it.
But I can't do it without your help. This site will only be the awe-inspiring, drool causing, eye candy riddled website I envisage if the readers submit their quilts for show and tell.
If you have made a quilt, we want to see it! Now! This site is for everyone and there is no room for modesty - I don't want to hear "my quilt isn't good enough" or "I'm just a beginner" - you made a quilt and that is an achievement worth shouting about. Pretend we’re at a friendship group meeting and it’s show and tell time – don’t be shy, you are among friends and fellow enthusiasts.
I am hoping I will get enough submissions to post one quilt each day but we are still in the early stages of development so please excuse my cyber dust. If you have suggestions to improve this site I would love to hear from you. Send your suggestions to webmaster@quiltersshowandtell.com
Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy quilting,
Hermione Agee.
