These are some of my miniature quilts. The miniature ohio rose is 3" blocks and hand appliqued and hand quilted. The New York Beauty is 2 1/2' blocks and hand quilted. Denise
Sue uses wools, velvets and cottons in her quilts. Not wanting to accumulate another stash I hand appliqued my wallhanging using my cotton fabrics. I added some beads for embellishments and machine quilted it. I am also making Ginger Grove by Sue. Denise
Grandma's Country Album by Robert Callaham in McCalls magazine. This is my first applique and what got me hooked on applique. I like all of Robert's applique blocks. I have another of his quilts finished but not quilted. Denise
This was a fun on-line BOM I did. I hand apppliqued the blocks and put it together my own setting. I love flowers. The little butterflies are broderie perse. Denise.
Some pieces for the small blocks in this quilt are fussy cut from the stripe fabric that I also posted a picture of. It is interesting after sewing the pieces together the designs that appear. Denise
The pieced blocks are from a local quilt shop Mystery Saturday Sampler program. After making the blocks we could put it together however we liked. I hand appliqued six blocks and set everything on point. The points in the border are all hand appliqued and the little yellow birds are in the corners.
This quilt was designed by Erica Kaprow to be made using wool and blanketstitch. It was a series quilt in Quiltmaker magazine. I used my 100% cotton marble modas and fossil fern fabric and needleturn. There is embroidery in some blocks.
