We have run out of quilts! Oh dear - that didn't last long.
I love, love, love that so many of you have shared your quilts with us and I can't thank you enough for making this blog such a great place to visit. Thank you!
I would love to keep it going but I can't do it alone. So, time to go to the cupboard and take a few photos please, otherwise you will be subjected to an endless parade of my quilts and nobody wants that ;o)
I've used my meagre computer skills to make a nice form to submit quilts with so no more excuses; time to share some quilts with us! With over 230 visitors every day I know there must be lots of quilts out there that we haven't seen yet. Off you go - snap, snap.
On a side note, you have probably noticed that when I write something on the main page I put it in pink - that's so you can destinguish my "house keeping" text from the "tell" in the show and tell.
Here is another one of my quilts to get us going again:
Submitted by Hermione Agee.
See more of Hermione's work on her blog and shop for machine quilting patterns on her website.
This is my latest finished quilt.
It's a wholecloth quilt that I quilted using a panto (surprised?) and then I coloured it in using a technique I learned from Kim Bradley when we were at the New Zealand machine quilters conference. If you ever get a chance to do a class with Kim I highly recommend you grab the oportunity.
It looks pretty good in the photos but it didn't turn out quite the way I wanted it to - up close the colouring is a bit messy but I'm getting the hang of it.
There are more than 170 flowers on there so by the time I got to the end I was much better at it than when I started. Practise makes perfect, right?
It was hanging in the Australian Machine Quilters Exhibition this weekend and it was awarded a Highly Commended ribbon. It's a great show to be a part of (and they have an edge to edge category!) so if you are a quilter or if you will be having a quilt machine quilted in the coming year don't forget to enter it in next years exhibition.
